EmergingSoft Corporation today announces an upgrade to MeetingPlanner for Outlook, the popular add-on to Microsoft Outlook Calendar and Exchange. MeetingPlanner is the first tightly integrated Outlook compatible application for resource scheduling, event management, office hoteling, and facilities management in one system.
The software is ideal for organizations using Exchange and Outlook for their email and calendaring, and who support a workforce dispersed over multiple office locations.
The latest release provides increased functionality within Outlook scheduling including:
- Global view of room and resource availability
- Intelligent search of conference rooms based on resource requirements
- Built-in workflow with automatic work order generation for room setups
- Reporting features on room and equipment utilization
- The ability to request catering and special arrangements tied to a meeting or event
- Simplified editing of recurring bookings
- Central management of bookings improved
- Improved performance for Active Directory synchronization
- Synchronize free/busy information between Exchange mailboxes set up as MeetingPlanner resources. This component does not require any installation on Exchange Server. Enterprise users may gradually deploy MeetingPlanner while still supporting resource mailboxes for scheduling resources. The synchronization feature is also available with the RoomWizard LCD from Polyvision.
