I didn't say the address field for Windows, I said "Windows Explorer".
Start Windows (not Internet) Explorer. If you don't see the ADdress field,
right-click the menu bar and check "Address Bar".

Okay, I understand what you said, however, refresh my memory and tell me how
to get to that place. Please and thank you. When I go to Start, where do I
go next?
Thanks,

Good Morning,
I actually found Archived Emails in the list along the left side of screen.
However, there was no address line to type in *.pst files. Once I click on
Archived Emails, I can't open them. Word doesn't work because all I get are
little boxes. How do I access the archived files?
Thanks again,
Patty

You must access them from within Outlook. Click File>Open>Outlook Data File

Hi Brian,
When I actually click on Archived Emails in Windows Explorer, it asks me
what program do i want to open with. If I choose let internet decide, it
takes me back to the Outlook homepage which is of no help to me. That is
why I am here with you. If I choose to select from a list of programs,
Oulook is not an option. Can you please help me finish this.
Thanks.

Hey Guess what? Ifound them via Outlook. I thought they were actually
archived somewhere on my computer to save space in Outlook. I was always
afraid to archive because I never was able to retrieve. But why were you
telling me to go to Windows Explorere, etc. if they are right there in
File-Open-Outlook Data File?
Thanks for your help.

You wanted to know how to find the PST files. You asked, "where would I
find the *.pst files?". Windows Explorer does that. Accessing the data
they contain, however, requires Outlook.

No, whet you _double-click_ on a file in Windows Explorer it asks that,
unless you've enab;e the option in Windows to treat a single click as a
double click.

You don't open a PST from Windows. You open it from within Outlook.

Your subject says "Outlook Express", but the above mentions PSTs. Outlook
Express doesn't use PSTs, Outlook does. What program are you using? If
Outlook, see this for file locations:

By default on Windows 2000 or XP, PSTs are in
%UserProfile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook. Just enter
that string in the Address field of Windows (not Internet) Explorer and
click Go. Alternatively, use Control Panel's Folder Options' View tab to
enable viewing hidden files and folders before using Search. Or, click the
"More Advanced Option" drop-down in Search and check the boxes labeled
"Search hidden files and folders" and "Search subfolders".
