I use Microsoft Office Outlook for my email, but have obviously got Outlook
Express on my pc as well. Some of my mail gets to there, and I rarely check
it.
Can't see why it is going there or how to stop it.

1) Don't run Outlook Express and it can't get the mail
2) Remove the mail account from Outlook Express
3) Change the OE mail account so that it is excluded when a send/receive
occurs.

Also--you should change your settings in Outlook Express accounts to "leave
mail on server" in case it does get the mail. It will still be there for
Outlook. You also must change the default mail program in Internet Explorer,
Tools, Internet Options, Programs.

thanks I have the samw problem as Margaret. But I don't know how to change
the settings in Outlook Express account to "leave mail on server" couldn't
find it. I opened this up so I could send folders of pictures instead of
downloadin pictures individually. Then it started sending my email after the
fact to this account instead of my regular en=mail account. I had thought I
lost all my emails, but then i found them on the OE. don't want my email to go
there makes life to difficult for this old broad LOL

Tools-accounts-properties. look at the different tabs there. (It's possibly
in either the Advanced or server tabs - I only use OE for news so I can't be
sure).

'Tools|Accounts|Mail|Properties|Advanced tab'. The "Leave a copy on the
server" checkbox is near the bottom of the properties sheet.
