Dear All,

My question is simple.
How can I search the email in MS Outlook 2003 or 2007 for a duration or
period of time (same as Outlook Express)?

Normally I use Outlook Express. When press "Find" button, it show a new
popup windows to let me fill in all required information.
It allows me to search for From:, To:, Subject, Message:, Received before:,
Received after.

So it allows me to specific the search criteria that I want to find a
messeage from any guy that I receive or sent between, example, Jan 15 2008 -
Jan 31 2008.

Any tools to allow me to search email for a period of time same as Outlook
Express?

Any 3rd party tools?

Thanks you for your kindness.
Regards,
Neung

Advanced Find will allow that.

Dear Diane,

Many thanks for your reply, I'm really appreciated.

I want the search feature of MS Outlook to be easy and very fast as Outlook
Express.

If you can tell me the way to create a permanent search form to let me
search the email very quickly, it would be great. Eg., I would like to search
an email from Mr. A that sent to me during 1 Jan 08 - 15 Jan 08.

Moreover, the search speed of MS Outlook is terrible comparing with Outlook
Express.

Because MS Outlook's search will start searching from the very oldest email
until most recent received emails. While Outlook Express will start search
email from the most recent received.

As the results, search using Outlook Express will return the needed emails
very fast, because mostly I need to find the most recent received emails.

Does it has a way to set Outlook to always start searching form the most
recent received email in Inbox and most recent sent out in the Sent folder?

If you know any 3rd parth search tools that appears the search features same
as Outlook Express?

Thanks,
Neung

WIndows Desktop Search seems to be fairly fast. I haven't experimented much
with it, however.

While search contexts can be saved in OL 2003, I'm not sure that's true any
more in OL 2007. My search needs are fairly modest, so I haven't explored a
lot of the features it contains.

While technically it isn't true that search is chronological starting with
the oldest messages, it's a close approximation.

No.

you can't control the search order in outlook 2003 and old. You can't
control it in 2007 either but Instant search is very fast so you won't
notice what order it searches.

if you do the search often, make a search folder and search for mail between
specific dates or 'in the last month' - I'd use from mr j, then sort by date
rather than filtering by date - that way the filter never needs changed.
