I am running outlook 2002 with sp3. I've removed a rule and it is no long
visible in the rule wizard. Somehow, it is still running when incoming msg
meets the condition. I've search the internet and tried to use the command
line to clean up the rule from the rule set database, however, the command
line does not work in outlook 2002.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/826964/

How can i permanently remove the old rule?

Thanks

I guess it is an Exchange mailbox. We are using Exchange server 5.5.

If you've got access (or your admin) to an Outlook 2003 client you can start
Outlook with the /cleanrules switch. Otherwise your admin is going to have
to dig into your mailbox with the mdbvu32 Exchange Resource Kit tool and
delete the rule manually.
