Office 2007 Pro Plus / WIN XP Pro SP2
Outlook and Outlook Express Mail settings are identical
Sending and receiving with OE = no problem.
Receiving with Outlook 2007 = no problem
Sending with Outlook 2007 = Sending' reported error (0x800CCC80): "None of
the
authentication methods supported by this client are supported by your
server."
Having searched through the www for the error resolution, I can only find
that some users have discovered that disabling Norton solves the problem. I
don't have anything Norton on my computer as a matter of policy and
disabling AVG makes no difference.
Check your settings very carefully and compare with the one from your ISP.
Maybe you set SPA or SMTP Authentication when you shouldn't or you didn't set
it when you should.
If you are not on the same network as the provider of your mail account
you'll need to configure your outgoing server (SMTP) for authentication.
