I have been using outlook 2003 for years without issues. (XP sp2) Recently
it wouldn't start. When I clicked on task manager, there would be two
outlooks runniing. When I deleted one the other would start and it would
work fine. Now it starts in a small window and freezes. After looking at
this group I deleted the file:
%AppData%\Microsoft\Outlook\outcmd.dat and restarted outlook, but the same
problem happned.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Craig
Try Detect/Repair
Then check OL addins/Coms to see if something there might be causing the
problem of not exiting correctly

DL, Thanks for your reply.
I Ran Detect and Repair through Word and it did not have any benefit.
I have not had any addins since.
Any other suggestions?
Other than uninstalling and then reinstalling...
Thanks,
Craig

Maybe your profile is damaged. Try to fix it with [1]. If this does not
help, create a new one:
Thanks to all for your help and advise.
I used the program you recommended below and it kept showing me stuff with
WinFax Pro along with the other folders and files looking for duplicates
I had loaded it to try some programing stuff (it was a very old version).
Once I unistalled WinFax Pro 8, Suddenly outlook worked again.
Thanks for your help
