Book Description
Smaller practices need to use some system to easily store and share emailed information. One technique is to use a database, which can be thought of as an electronic version of a card file system. One of the latest releases from the Gates empire, Microsoft Outlook 2003, is one of the easiest way to store and manage emails. Available for both PC and Apple Macintosh, FileMaker Pro 6 and can share the same database between the two systems. Unlike Outlook, FileMaker Pro 6 is a database system which means that a user will need to design a database from scratch to store their emails. AskSam is a database that has been specifically designed to store and search for text based information such as emails and research materials.
